Executive summary
Malaysia, representing the Asia Pacific Region to host the Tenth World Bonsai Convention 2026 in Kuala Lumpur from 28th to 31st 2026 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
The Malaysia Bonsai & Suiseki Society (MBSS), the national Bonsai Suiseki Society, will organize the convention; the members of the society will handle the physical and logistical arrangements, as they have expertise with national and international events. In 2001, MBSS was the host for the Asia Pacific Bonsai & Suiseki Convention and Exhibition (ASPAC), which drew 400 international delegates.
There are 19 bonsai and Suiseki clubs in Malaysia & leading regional organizations support the event for Malaysia in the spirit of unity. The non-profit Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture Malaysia in support of international events.
We'll provide delegates with once-in-a-lifetime city excursions before and after the conference. All Malaysian bonsai clubs have 2,500 members. Approximately 300 local and 700 international registrations are expected. To spread bonsai love in this region, we desire 1,000 registrations and 50,000 show visitors.
The strategy would showcase Malaysia's Unity In Diversity and invite delegates to enjoy "Truly Asian" hospitality and the greatest Malaysian experience.
